Do you print directly onto the mylar bags?
Yes! We can print directly onto mylar bags and offer cannabis dispensary custom packaging. We have a range of direct print mylar bag capabilities and can print on the front, back, and bottom gusset. We can even print the interior of your mylar bag.
Are there any costs for plates or initial setup?
With all our custom bags, there are no plate or setup fees! We produce all of these bags digitally so that no plates are required. However, for larger size orders, we do have the ability to produce bags flexographically. When producing flexographically, there are one-time plate fees for each color used. All website orders will be produced digitally with no extra fees unless otherwise specified.

Can the custom mylar bags be sealed with heat?
All our mylar bags can be heat-sealed. Our standard custom mylar bags feature tear notches to be used specifically for heat-sealed bags. Once your bag is heat-sealed and on the market, the customer can rip open the heat from the tear notches. From there, they can access the contents from the resealable zipper.
What separates printed mylar bags from labeled mylar bags?
Custom-printed mylar bags offer a more complete and finished look compared to labeled and stickered bags. With the print effects laid out directly on the bag, there’s no way to remove the imagery. Your branding and design can easily be peeled off when using a labeled bag, leaving a blank mylar bag behind. Printed mylar bags start at a quantity of 1,000 pieces, with labeled bags starting as low as 100 pieces. Printed bags offer a premium look and solution compared to the labeled mylar options.
Can I purchase child-resistant mylar bags?
Yes! Our standard stock mylar bags all feature a child-resistant (CR) zipper. To stay compliant in the majority of the United States, all bag zippers must feature a CR zipper. These various types of secure zippers are common throughout the cannabis industry. You can easily purchase our stock of child-resistant bags and we can help you to customize your own.
Will my mylar packaging bags be closed or open when delivered?
All of your mylar bags will arrive open and unsealed. This saves your team time to easily fill the bags and seal them once the contents have been put into the pouch.
Can I use different materials for my mylar pouch?
While most of our mylar bags are made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), there are other options available to meet environmental and sustainable packaging requirements. We offer finishes made up of a mix of raw materials, such as matte, gloss, paper, and metallic foils.
What is the shelf-life after using products in your custom weed bags?
The shelf-life of items varies greatly depending on the product type. For example, dried goods vs. items containing moisture will have drastically different shelf lives. To extend the shelf-life of your products, it’s important to cure and prepare all cannabis flower and edibles before properly storing them in a mylar bag. Once the bag is full, heat sealing helps to preserve the freshness.

As a custom cannabis packaging company, all our stock mylar bags are ready to ship from our warehouse on the same day! When ordering custom mylar bags, the overall production and shipping time averages about four weeks in total.
